Jedi Fallen Order – Opening Sequence
With Padawan Cal Kestis taking players on a new adventure in the Star Wars Jedi series from Respawn Entertainment, the opening scene of Jedi Fallen Order was, to say the least, epic. Cal is on the run from a group of Inquisitors after using the Force to save a friend. This is a lot like the opening train wreck scene in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
During this time, players are shown how to fight, move around, and do other important things. The chaos in the surroundings and background is a great show. It sets the tone for what will happen later in the game and shows how dangerous Cal is as one of the few living Jedi after Order 66.
Jedi Fallen Order – Order 66 Escape
When talking about Order 66, players are reminded of what happened afterward that made any remaining Jedi totally vulnerable. This is seen through Cal Kestis’ eyes. As a survivor of the attack, players have to get away from the Stormtrooper attack while Cal tries to protect himself. The background is full of chaos and confusion.
Even though the damage to the environment and the destruction of buildings and sites are not directly what makes this moment important, it is because of how important it is to the whole story of Star Wars. This is one of the scenes from games and movies, especially Revenge of the Sith, that fans will remember because it shows yet another Jedi’s painful past.
The Force Unleashed – Vader Entrance On Kashyyyk
When Darth Vader is on screen in any Star Wars material, like a TV show, movie, or game, especially at the beginning, all fans will be sure to watch. Even though Darth Vader has had many other memorable screen moments over the years, the introduction in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed lets players invade Kashyyyk in style, with Vader blitzing through foes.
Even though it’s not a planned scene, it’s worth pointing out, especially when Vader beats a Jedi with ease. It shows what Vader can do and how scary he can be. It also shows what players will be able to do with Starkiller once they can play it.
Jedi Fallen Order – Cal’s Vader Escape
When talking about Vader and how powerful he is, Jedi Fallen Order showed just that in a set piece. Cal meets Vader after beating the Second Sister. He has no chance against Vader, so he has to run to get away from him. In this part of the game, players must run while Vader is chasing them and use the Force to break up bridges and other places that Cal could use to escape.
Not only did this show how different Cal, Cere, and Vader were at the time, but it is still one of the scarier set pieces, especially for those who know how powerful and dangerous Vader can be. His slow and relaxed attitude from the beginning of Force Unleashed is also shown here, but Cal’s escape after getting the Holocron felt very important because this scene is the end of Fallen Order.
Jedi Survivor – Cal & Merrin’s Escape On Jedah
Star Wars Jedi Survivor, which is the most current Star Wars game and might be the best of them all, has the best set piece sequence of Snake Game. After Cal and Merrin’s first kiss, players are thrown into a great show of movement as Cal is moved through Merrin’s portals while fighting off an Empire Drill. This kept players on the edge of their seats the whole time.
It was interesting to see how their relationship progressed at the same time that a new layer of Merrin’s skills were suddenly revealed. Even though the scene wasn’t a big part of the story as a whole, fans had been waiting for it after the epic moments in the movie that came before Jedi Survivor.
You can now play Star Wars Jedi Survivor on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
